I’m Stacy—writer, wife to a farmer, and mom to three in rural Montana. Years ago, I dreamed of big city life, but then, I fell in love with a farmer and moved to the middle of nowhere. Together, we’re raising the fifth generation on my husband’s family farm & ranch.

Shortly after getting married, I noticed most of the captions and stories I read on social media from rural women only highlighted the beautiful parts of agricultural life.
Was I doing something wrong that I didn’t love every second of farm life? Was I the only one struggling?
Since then, I’ve tried to be honest, sharing the struggles and challenges of rural life, all while honoring the beautiful parts too.
Because I believe life is both/and.
I tell stories to make sense of the beauty and challenges of rural life.
